Day 1- Pick up 06.00

This first morning will concentrate on the magnificent 12th an 13th century temples built by King Jayavarman VII. After purchasing our pass for the magnificent Angkor site we will start our journey at the ruined temple of Ta Phrom, one of the Buddhist Temples built by the King to commemorate his mother and made famous by the movie Tomb Raider. We then head through the forest over to the north Gate of Ta Phrom to see the four faces of the gate hidden by the trees.
We will spend the rest of the morning exploring the magnificent Banteay Kdei Temple.

 

    Break/ Lunch / Hotel

Afternoon- Pick up at 14:30

DSC_9934In the afternoon we will drive to the west Gate of Angkor Thom with its great four faces surrounded by the jungle then a short drive to the giant smiling faces of Bayon Temple with its 49 towers. We will spend the afternoon exploring Bayon temple, Terrace of the Leper King, Terrace of the Elephant, Preah Palilay and Prasat Sour Prout.( don’t recognise the temple name) Our day will conclude at the South gate of Angkor Thom for a sunset view reflected in the water-filled moat.

Day 2 – Pick up at 04.30

_DSC1266Our early start gives up prime position at the iconic Angkor Wat Temple as the sun rises over the temple towers. Angkor Wat was built by King Suryavarman in the early 12th century. After sunrise we explore Preah Khan Temple then onto the north gate of Angkor Thom
Our morning concludes with Ta Som Temple and the East Mebon.

Break/Lunch/ Hotel
Afternoon- Pick Up at 15.00

 

The afternoon will give you ample time to fully explore Angkor Wat and then capture the sunset view around this famous temple.
Day 3 – Pick up at 05.40

DSC_9125We will drive to the far side of the Angkor Complex to explore the Temple of
Banteay Srey. Built with pink sandstone in the second half of the 10th
century by Rajendravarman, Banteay Srey is known for its beautiful intricate
carvings.
From there we will head to Kbal Spean Waterfall with its 1000 Lingas. This is a bit of climb, but well worth the effort.
Today we have lunch at a restaurant near the temples.   After lunch, we will spend the afternoon exploring Banteay Samre, one of the Hindu Temples built by the King Suryavarman II.
Before heading back to your hotel we will enjoy sunset at Pre-Rup or Srah Srang.
Day 4 – Pick up at 07.00

_DSC6305We will visit the floating village Kampong Kleang on the Tonle Sap lake. You will have time to explore the village and the opportunity to tour the lake by boat.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we head to Beng Melea Temple spending the afternoon exploring this breath-taking ruined temple, which has been reclaimed by the jungle. Our journey back to the hotel gives you views of the beautiful local countryside.
